Greetings
I was raised on the south shore of Long Island, New York, during the 60’s and 70’s. It has been a long, arduous journey from my CHILDHOOD and young adult years to today. BUT I am one of the fortunate ones who survived and found artistic expression thru collage AND PAINTING.
For the past forty years, I have been fortunate enough to live, work and play in New York City. I have enjoyed many visits to the world’s best art museums. Some of THE ARTISTS WHO HAVE BEEN A GREAT INSPIRATION: Frida Kahlo, Wassily Kandinsky, Georgia o'keefFe, JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT, JACKSON POLLOCK and many others.
THANK YOU TO MY family and friends for all your support over the years - you know who you are! AND A SPECIAL THANKS TO MY HUSBAND OF THE PAST 17 YEARS, NEAL HEMPHILL -- MY BEST FRIEND AND GREATEST CHAMPION.
